About us

          The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2010. The department has grown steadily and today it has highly dedicated faculty with an annual intake of 60 students. The entire members work as a team to elevate the department and the students to greater heights. The department organizes guest lecturers, seminars, workshops and training programs. The department offers theoretical and practical expertise to the learners. The Laboratories are well installed with a variety of software that caters the need of the students and covering the curriculum specified by the affiliated University.

Mission

          To provide an arena for scholarly efforts and accomplishment through creativity and objective inquiry. Our students will be broadly educated who will make significant contributions to their professions and communities.

Objectives

  • Possess concrete knowledge in mathematics and basic sciences that prepares them to be a successful professional in industry, government and in academic career
  • Exhibit a sound knowledge in the fundamentals of computer science and apply practical experience with the state-of-art tools and programming languages to solve real world problems
  • Demonstrate sufficient depth and breadth of knowledge in the areas of Computer Science and Engineering for analysing complex problems and develop appropriate solutions
  • Will be able to understand the professional code of ethics and demonstrate ethical behaviour, effective communication, team work and leadership skills in their job and career
  • Will be able to pursue advanced degrees, take advantage of professional development opportunities and continue a lifelong learning

LABORATORIES

The department has well equipped laboratories with 300 systems to cater the needs of the students. The laboratories are operational with specialized software packages like Windows7, Ubuntu, Windows server 2008, Microsoft Security Essential.

1.Computer Practice Lab

The lab is equipped with 65 systems which has the configuration (Intel core duo/2GB DDR3 RAM) with all the needed software (MS office, Open office, Dev C++). The lab also provides basic knowledge about Unix commands.This lab is also used as Internet laboratory with 10Mbps leased line connection.

2.Data Structures Lab

 

The lab imparts the programming knowledge of students.The lab is equipped with 70 systems which has the latest configuration (Intel core i5 Processor/2GB DDR3 RAM/ 320 GB Sata HDD) with all the needed software (Dev C++) .

3. Web Design and Visual programming Lab

 

This lab improve the skills of students in the production and maintenance of websites. They are trained to work with different areas of web design including web graphic design, interface design, search engine optimization, etc. It also enhances the knowledge of students in mainiulating the program elements graphically rather than specifying them textually. This lab is equipped with 70 systems which has the latest configuration (Intel Core i5 Processor, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD) with all the needed software(Oracle, Visual Studio).

4. Network Lab

 

The Network Laboratory is devoted to students to enhance their knowledge in the fields of Networking. Advanced Networking tools are installed to enable the students to learn about the latest networking trends. In Networking Lab, all basic network characteristics are studied. The lab is also focused with concepts like TCP/IP, OPNET simulation etc. used in networking. This lab is equipped with 70 Systems which has the latest configuration (Intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD) with all the needed software ( NS2, Java jdk 1.7).

5. Graphics and Multimedia Lab

      

The lab provides a strong foundation on the emerging technology multimedia. The students are trained to work on graphics rather than text manipulation using C language. This lab is equipped with 70 Systems which has the latest configuration (Intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD) with all the needed software(Dev C++, Flash, Photoshop, Rational Rose).
